- I've had greyhounds since about 2000 when I adopted my first greyhound Happy from GPA-SN. Happy passed in January 2004 but ignited this love I have for the breed. She opened my eyes and my heart to greyhounds.
In February 2007 I was recruited to fill the shoes of Jan Valentino, past president of GPA-SN, who was moving out of state. With a lot of guidance and assistance, we have, as a new board, been able to continue to place exracing greyhounds into loving homes in the greater Las Vegas community.
It's a lot of fun, a lot of hard work but the best part is seeing the joy and happiness of new adopters when they meet and get to know their new greyhound and to see that love and loyality returned by their hound. It makes all the hard work worthwhile.
